First round, first win,..... Fang
(As the dawning of a new tournament begins, we find “him” riding the wind, just one more time before his first round match up. The cool breeze runs through his thick, dirty blonde hair. He squints behind a pair of dark sunglasses, as the sun casts it’s brilliant light over the land. His recently charred dark brown bomber jacket remains unzipped, the sides of which flap in the breeze, as he rides down I-95 on his black Harley Davidson motorcycle. Although it has been burned in a fire during his encounter with that man in that bar some four days ago, he still sports his jacket, which covers a black cut off T-shirt. His worn blue jeans have been flame bitten as well, however not to the extent that his jacket was. He revs his mighty engine and takes the nearest exit off the highway. He hangs right at the end of the exit, and continues forward, until he reaches the main parking lot area in the back of the New Haven Coliseum. He drives into the back, where the private parking for wrestlers and assorted performers has been reserved. He rolls into a spot and kicks down the stop on his bike. A camera man rushes out of the door in the arena and up to him. The camera man follows him as he enters the arena. Such a sight is being broadcast to the live audience inside the arena over a massive titan tron. The fans give a standing ovation as their hero makes his way into the arena and down several corridors in the back. The screen fades to black, and suddenly the lights in the arena shut off. “Master of Puppets” by Metallica blasts over the loud speakers, and HE walks out from the back. HE, who these fans have cheered for, for the past three years, he, the man who has put his life on the line more than once for the sport of wrestling now makes his way down to the ring. He slides in and goes to the nearest turnbuckle, climbing to the second one, and raising his right arm to the crowd, who mimics him. He steps down and walks over to the opposite corner of the ring where he leans over and grabs a microphone. He picks it up and raises it to his lips as he walks to the middle of the ring.)
BigErn: I’m not here tonight to talk about how I just beat the hell out of Dustin Crawford for one hour straight in our Japanese Death, whatever you wanna call it, Iron Man match. I’m not here to talk about how I accomplished exactly what I said I was going to accomplish, by dragging his face along those barbed wires, which replaced the normal ropes of this ring. I’m not even here to talk about how I spilled Dustin Crawford’s blood, and not only defeated him, but also fought off the rest of The New Pac, and also a run in by my good buddy from the sWo. Hell no, I’m not here to talk about any of these matters concerning SmackCCW, I’m here to talk about the second installment of quite possibly the greatest tournament to ever hit the wrestling scene. Yeah that’s right, I’m here to talk about RPGOD2: Tournament of Champions.
(the fans in the arena remain on their feet, emitting a chorus of cheers in support of BigErn. He pauses for a moment, then resumes)
BigErn: Now in the first tournament, I made it all the way to the final 8, where I should have gone on to the semi finals round, however, I was not that fortunate. I made a damn good showing, for a 64 man tournament, I’d say I did a pretty damn good job, seeing as it was my first tournament. But now, RPGOD has expanded into a 128 man tournament, four brackets with 32 people in each one. It’s going to be longer, it’s going to be harder, but the one thing I have on my side that I didn’t have in the first tournament is a little something I like to call….experience. Experience, because without it, half the people in this thing wouldn’t be here. They are here because they are quite possibly the best of the best…the greatest collection of athletes that the wrestling world has to offer. So it would be a mistake for anybody in this tournament to underestimate any of their opponents. We’re all strangers here, not very knowledgeable of what the others are capable of. So, that’s why I come to you tonight, to introduce myself once again to the wrestlers in this tournament, and to make a few comments concerning my first round match up.
BigErn: So, I’ve been set against somebody by the name of Fang in the first round. Fang, I can’t say I’m too familiar with who the hell you are. I don’t remember you from the first tournament, so I guess if you participated in it, you must have been knocked out awfully early. But like I said, one thing everybody should remember not to do in a tournament like this, is underestimate any of their opponents. So I’m not going to do that Fang, but then again, that doesn’t mean I don’t feel that I have the potential to kick your sorry ass all over the damn ring, thus advancing myself to the second round, where hopefully, I’ll receive some decent competition for once, unlike the first tournament. The first tournament was a real eye opener Fang, I got to face off against three or four jackasses in the first few rounds, before I finally got some decent competition, who manifested himself in the form of one, Damien Dark. Dark had taken on some decent opponents himself already, and needless to say, I wasn’t ready for such an encounter. And so he took me by surprise, and I walked away a loser that one night. I’m not afraid to admit defeat, but damn it, I knew I could have beaten him if I really wanted to. That’s where my drive comes from in accordance to this tournament. My drive, revenge. I want vengeance for being knocked out in the first tournament when clearly it should have been me and Johnny Mayhem facing off in the final round, not Chris Bagwell in a spot I know I could have held. This tournament will be quite different, and I will have my revenge.
(BigErn pauses and the fans continue to clap and cheer for him. He looks around and notices several camera flashes going off. The flashes are a bit blinding. BigErn lowers his head and rubs his eyes quickly to try and wipe away the effects of the flashes. He raises his head and brings the mic back up to his mouth.)
BigErn: That’s where you come in, Fang. I’m hoping, praying, that you’re a formidable opponent. I don’t have too much to say about you because I haven’t heard from you just yet, but by God, hopefully you’re not nearly as terrible as both The Butcher and The Konkrete Kid were in the first tournament. Hopefully I’ll actually be able to hear from you, rather than receive complete silence from you side of the battle field all week long. But Fang, I can only hope that you present a challenge, I can’t say for sure whether you will or not. On the other hand, if you’re looking for a damn good match up, then look no further. I am the toughest son of a bitch on the wrestling circuit today, and I’m a man who knows no limits. You know what that means Fang? It means there’s nothing I won’t do to ensure myself of a win. Whether it means bouncing your head off the canvas a couple of times, crushing your ribs with a couple five star frog splashes, or even planting you through a couple table, I’ll stop at nothing to knock your ass around for a good fifteen to twenty minutes, and then pin your ass down to receive the victory. The only thing I don’t condone is cheating, or an interference of some type. I am my own man. I will do what I want, when I want, and I don’t need the help of my buddies in order to do it. You wanna fight? You’ve got one. I’ll school your ass in this ring and teach you one very important lesson….You just don’t F*CK with BigErn…
(BigErn drops the mic and looks around at the packed arena. The fans cheer louder than ever as “Master of Puppets” by Metallica picks up and blasts over the loud speakers. BigErn admires the crowd, then walks over to the side of the ring facing the entrance way. He drops down and rolls out of the ring. BigErn walks back up the entrance way and stops at the top. He turns to the fans one last time, and raises his right arm. Thousands of camera flashes go off to capture the moment, and as they die down, BigErn turns away and disappears into the back of the arena.)
